A Review of the Music in "Man of Steel" !

I'm so sorry about not posting for awhile. I was just really really busy and had no time to do any write-ups. But I'm back now and as I promised last week, I'm going to tell you about "Man of Steel" and its gorgeous soundtrack CD.

NEW MUSIC: Crayon Pop - Bar Bar Bar!

Hey guys, I'm back!

Today, I'm bringing you a song by Korean girl group Crayon Pop. It's their new single "Bar Bar Bar"!

I was a bit hesitant about posting K-Pop, because I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but I decided, it would be no harm to show you guys some of the Korean music that I listen to!

"Rise Up" by Beyoncé (Written by Sia) is Brilliant!

I'm a tad late on posting this song, since it came out at the start of this month, but I decided that I should, cause it's pretty great!

"Rise Up" is Beyoncé's contribution to the recently released animated movie Epic. It was written by the ever incredible Sia Furler, who in my opinion, has written some of the best pop songs of our time (Bound To You, Kill and Run, Titanium and countless others!) So it's no surprise that this song is highly listenable.

Song Review: Victoria Justice - Gold!

Hey everyone, it's time to do a proper song review again! 

This time, it's the first single from Nickelodeon star, Victoria Justice's, debut album, called "Gold" !

Cody Simpson releases new song "Summertime of Our Lives"!

I have to be honest and say, that I had no idea who Cody Simpson was, when this song dropped a few days ago. 

After doing some research it turns out he's Australian and was discovered on Youtube. But we're really here to talk about his new song, "Summertime of Our Lives", which he just released the video for. It's part of the countdown to his second studio album "Surfers Paradise" (above is the cover!) due out on July 16th.

NEW MUSIC: The Pretty Reckless - Follow Me Down

One of my absolute favourite rock bands, The Pretty Reckless, is back with an awesome new song "Follow Me Down"!

I have been loving The Pretty Reckless, ever since their first single "Make Me Wanna Die" dropped way back in 2010 and got great airplay on the UK's biggest radio station, BBC Radio 1. Their debut album, Light Me Up, which followed soon after, was also complete perfection.

A Contender For Song of the Year!

Reposting because I think this song by Studio Killers deserves its own post and a moment to shine.

It's quite literally incredible and I have just realised this.

You'll definitely be seeing this very high up in my end of year countdown of best songs :D

Tal Releases Music Video for "Danse" feat. Flo Rida!

One of my favourite french popstars, Tal, has just released the video for her new single 'Danse'!

'Danse' is a fun dance-pop song, but the reason I didn't post about it before, was because I didnt think it was that great... BUT it has grown on me and I'm going to break it down for you now :)

Album Review: Studio Killers - Studio Killers

Incredible, virtual, dance-pop collective Studio Killers have just released their self-titled debut album! Yay!

As I mentioned on tuesday, their 4th single 'Jenny' is extremely good! As I also loved their 1st and 3rd singles, "Ode to the Bouncer" and "All Men Are Pigs", I was hoping for lots more amazingness on the rest of the album. 

Just a Touch of Love!

Hey guys, I was listening to a song today (this one!), which reminded me of another AMAZING song from the 1990's ... 'Just a Touch of Love' by C+C Music Factory!

Frida Gold To Release Their Second Studio Album On 28/6 !

Ever since the release of their awesome debut album "Juwel" in 2011, I've been a huge fan of German pop-group Frida Gold.

They make fresh, melodic, quirky pop music and they actually sing in German too! Their music is kind of Kylie-esque, but less gleeful and more sober, reflective and grown up sounding ... if that makes sense ;)

NEW MUSIC: Studio Killers - Jenny

Amazing new music ALERT! This new song by virtual electro-pop group Studio Killers is quite awesome!

I stumbled across this band just the other day and although I really like their previous material, this song stands out to me in particular. It has a wonderful breezy, tropical production and simple, catchy lyrics. It's super bouncy and reminds me of INNA and Edward Maya's Stereo Love.

Song Review: Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

Hey everyone! Miley Cyrus is back with the first single from her upcoming fourth studio album!

The song is called 'We Can't Stop' and was released just over a week ago.

On first listen, I wasn't that impressed. I thought it was an ok, fairly catchy song, which didn't really go anywhere ... BUT after repeated listens, I can confirm it is indeed a huge grower and I now love it !

Song Review: Stromae - Papaoutai

So this is my very first review for you guys, it's amazing Belgian singer Stromae's new single!

I am absolutely in love with this song at the moment. From the gentle, piano (almost harpsichord-like) opening, the song explodes into a passionate, energetic, at times frantic ode to absent fathers. 

The aggressively-building verses lead to the incredible chorus which repeats the words "Where are you Papa?" over a stomping beat. Twinkling guitar(??) riffs are interspersed throughout the song and add a magical quality, which I love!
