I have been loving The Pretty Reckless, ever since their first single "Make Me Wanna Die" dropped way back in 2010 and got great airplay on the UK's biggest radio station, BBC Radio 1. Their debut album, Light Me Up, which followed soon after, was also complete perfection.
Anyways, this song was just uploaded to their Youtube channel and it's pretty awesome. It's in the vein of their previous releases, but slightly harder and heavier than usual ... but then, the instrumentation relaxes and quietens in the hypnotic chorus and middle 8, for some awesome suspenseful dramatic contrast.
Lead vocalist Taylor Momsen sounds fantastic as usual, serving us epic, twangy demonic vocals in the verses and soft cooes in the chorus/middle 8.
Check it out below and if this cryptic teaser is to be believed, they may have something great in store for us later this year! An album perhaps? another EP?? We'll have to wait and see !
